No, the biggest myth is that lash extensions ruin your own lashes. They do not. If applied correctly and properly, they are safe and do not ruin the health of your natural lashes. Be sure not to rub your eyes or tug or pull on the extensions because this can cause lash loss and even damage to your natural lashes.

Eyelash extensions last through a full growth cycle of a natural lash, typically six to eight weeks. In saying that, at any given moment our natural lashes are at different stages, some may be starting to grow in, while others are ready to shed. There are three stages of growth cycle, learn more about it here. Because of this, Lash Infills every 3-4 weeks is recommended in maintaining a full and fabulous look.

LASH FACT: You lose eyelashes every day. It is estimated that we lose 1-4 eyelashes per day.

Prior to your appointment, try your best to arrive without any eye makeup, avoid curling your lashes or wearing mascara the day before and the day of your appointment. This will help in minimising the cleansing time and more time for lashing.

We recommend getting infills every 2 to 4 weeks. If you wait too long your extensions will fall out and you will require a full set.

For a general guide, infill appointments spaced apart every 2 weeks should book in a minimum of 60-75min infill. Infills spaced apart every 3+ weeks should book in a minimum of 90-105min infill. The longer the infill appointment, the more extensions that can be applied which means the fuller they will be.

Lash Infill appointments require a minimum 30% of lash extensions remaining.

Eyelash extensions is the process where a single lash extension is bonded to each individual natural lash.

LASH FACT: The number of eyelashes on each lid range widely as the top eyelid usually accommodates approximately 150 to 200 individual hairs, while the bottom eyelid may have somewhere between 75 and 100 hairs.

It is important to understand that eyelash extensions are an art and therefore take time, love, and care to apply.

We use synthetic/faux mink eye lashes for eyelash extensions. This type of lashes are man-made fibres, designed to imitate real mink fur. They are very fine, soft and silky and won’t lose their curl.
